TRANSPORTES INSULAR LA PALMA, S. COOP.
In 1975 the workers belonging to the company Transportes del Norte de La Palma S.A., constituted a cooperative of associated work with the aim of acquiring the company and began its work in 1977. The first steps were taken with the transport of users in Garafía and then the school transport began.
It is in 1991 when the Cooperative takes charge of the South-West line and in January 1992 it becomes the official tenderer of all the routes on the island for regular passenger transport.
Currently we have a fleet of 59 vehicles to carry out 21 regular lines throughout the island providing service 365 days a year.
TILP's main objective is to satisfy the mobility needs of our current and potential users. To this end, we have begun a new transport system on the island with a more modern, more agile approach and with much more information that will be implemented in phases with the intention of offering a high quality service.
The renewal of our fleet, as well as the adaptation of new computer systems that will have immediate location of each of our buses, will make it much more appealing and practical to take the bus to move around the island.
