• Certificate of registration or residence in one of the municipalities of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands. If you are a foreigner, this certificate must prove that you have been resident for more than 6 months

• A current flesh-size photograph

•A photocopy of your current ID card or, if not, authorisation to obtain your identity details (to be entitled to the Young Canary Islands Resident Permit you must be under 30 years of age)

• Fill in and submit the corresponding application

Requirements and processing:

• In addition to the documentation already indicated, an authorisation to obtain information from the Tax Office must be signed by each of the adult members of the family unit.

• In the case of resident aliens, a certificate issued by a competent body, officially translated and justifying the annual income of the year prior to the application.

• The applicant's annual income may not exceed the amount of the IPREM (index establishing a basic income level in force at the time of application). For family units with more than one member the income cannot exceed 1.5 times the IPREM.

Disabled Canary Islands Resident Pass

• In addition to the documentation, you must provide a certificate of recognition of a disability of more than 65% issued by a competent body.

Type 1 and 2 Canary Islands Resident Retiree Pass

• In addition to the documentation already indicated, an authorisation to obtain information from the Tax Office must be signed by each member of the family unit.

• You must also provide an updated certificate of the pension you are receiving issued by the body awarding the pension (only for applicants under 65 years of age).

• In the case of resident foreigners, a certificate issued by a competent body, officially translated and justifying the annual income of the year preceding the application.

• Retired Canary Islands Pass 1 can be obtained by people with an annual income of less than 1.8 times the IPREM, or 2 times the IPREM in the case of family units with more than one member. If these income limits are exceeded, the Retired Canary Islands Resident Pass 2 can be applied for.

Unemployed Canary Islands Resident Pass

• In addition to the documentation already indicated, you must present a Report on Registration with the Canary Islands Employment Service which accredits that you have been registered for more than 6 months as a job seeker, or, failing that, authorisation to obtain the data for registration as a job seeker and to sign authorisation to obtain information from the Tax Office signed by each of the members of the family unit.

• Annual income may not exceed 1.8 times the IPREM, or 2 times the IPREM, for family units with more than one member. In the case of resident aliens, a certificate issued by a competent body, officially translated and justifying the annual income of the year prior to the application.

Large Family Discount (20% General or 50% Special will be discounted from the current discounted rate).

• Valid for 1 year.

• In addition to the above documents, a copy of the Large Family Title in force must be provided.
